Robert Miles, born on 3 November 1969 in Fleurier, Switzerland, was an influential Italian record producer, composer, musician, and DJ. He is best known for his 1995 hit “Children”, which sold over five million copies and topped charts worldwide. Miles started playing the piano in his childhood while living in Fagagna, Italy. He became a DJ and established a recording studio in 1990, initially performing under the name Robert Milani before changing it to Miles.
In 1994, he created the trance track “Children”, which quickly gained popularity. It was featured prominently on radio shows, leading to a bidding war and a successful release. His debut album, Dreamland, came out in 1996, showcasing his musical talent. Over the years, Miles produced several albums, blending various musical styles and collaborating with other artists. Sadly, he passed away on 9 May 2017, but his music continues to inspire many.
