Erik Satie was a French composer born on May 17, 1866, in Honfleur. He is known for his unique and innovative music, which was quite different from the traditional styles of his time. Satie’s works often included unexpected notes and unusual rhythms that made his compositions stand out. He enjoyed being unconventional and even wore a green velvet suit to express his artistic personality.
One of his most famous pieces is called “Gymnopédies”, a set of three gentle, dreamy piano pieces that have a calming effect on listeners.
